We sent the below email to all of the following people. Remember that the city council originally adopted this in 2022. They have not agreed to refund for for the prior year YET! We are still working on it.

To Whom It May Concern
As a resident of the City of Princeton, TX and a customer of the City of Princeton water utility I am asking for a refund of all overcharges that have accumulated since the passing of ordinance 2023-04-24 in April of 2023 which changed the billing calculation for wastewater to the Winter Average Approach.
The original ordinance passed 4/2023 when Mr. Borg was City Manager, however the decision was made not to enact the ordinance and change the billing method. The problem was magnified when in 9/2024 the City Council acting at the direction of Michael Mashburn as City Manager, made the decision to cover up this error (overcharging of residents) and passed ordinance number 2024-09-16-02 to remove Winter Month Averaging, without notifying customers of the overcharging and making the necessary refunds. I don’t know if it was illegal, but it was highly unethical. Current members of the City Council that approved the ordinance were Ryan Gerfers, Ben Long, Steve Deffibaugh and Carolyn David-Graves. It is also noteworthy that Steve Deffibaugh and Bryan Washington were council members who were present and voted on both ordinances 2023-04-24 and 2024-09-16-02.
Please recalculate my 2023-2024 wastewater charges and refund my account.
